The Amorous Milkman (1975)

Randy Milkman Davey bites off more than he can chew when he starts to deliver more than pints of milk to some of the bored housewives on his route.

Davey (Brendan Price) is a loser milkman; broke and alone. He drives a milk delivery truck which reads: An extra bottle a day keeps you healthy and gay.

Janice (Donna Reading) is taking a morning bath.

Janice's mother shouts to her to get out of the bath. "Your father needs to use the lavatory!"

Janice can barely hear her mother over her loud music, but she gets out of the tub and towels off.

Davey nearl knocks Janet over when he opens the door to deliver the milk. "Are you alright? I hope I didn't hurt your pussy." Of course he means her pet cat.

Despite an awkward start, the two hit it off. Davey plans to come back later.

Davey hurries on his route so he'll have time to spend with Janet who is wearing a short miniskirt.

Janet bends over to reach in the cupboard and Davey gets an eyeful. He asks her to go to the movies.

The movie is an art house picture with graphic sex. Janice can't deal with the content, and so they leave. Back at his apartment, Janet buttons up her shirt insisting they need to get engaged first. Davey agrees.

Davey meets his buddy Sandy (Alan Lake) at a club.

Sandy introduces him to Diana (Julie Ege) and his girlfriend Joan (Jennifer Westbrook).

Sandy and Joan get on the dance floor, with Joan wearing a completely sheer top. Davey and Diana are just awkward together. They have sex back at his place but it's a one night stand for Diana and the fling goes nowhere.

Davey continues to avoid Janet. He eventually hooks up with Margo (Nancie Wait) who proves to be smothering and possessive.

Davey quickly gets overwhelmed with Margo's smothering and tells her he has the Asian flue. She says she doesn't care and flings off her clothes.

Now Davey insists he has malaria. Margo rushes to get her clothes back on to get him medicine. It's become clear she's a bit unhinged.

Rita (Diana Dors) and Gerald (Bill Fraser) are an unhappily married couple on Davey's milk delivery route.

Rita, being your standard unsatisfied housewife, hits on Davey when he arrives for the delivery. He's caught in a compromising position by Gerald and arrested. The incident lands in the newspaper. 

Janet leaves him, and Margo freaks out - but this only causes her to pursue him harder. So things end badly for poor Davye. THE END

VZ6 SCORECARD

One of the worst examples of an otherwise wonderful genre of film - the seventies British sex comedy.  This wasn't funny and the sleaze is all but nonexistent - and when it is onscreen, it's filmed so poorly you can't see anything.  Granted this has a lot to do with the poor film quality, but it can't all be blamed on that. Indeed the film was a financial and critical disaster - none more so than for its director, the actor Derren Nesbitt, who had sold his yacht and re-mortgaged his house in order to pay for the film. 

Donna Reading was in a bunch of British TV including Monty Python and Jason King.  This was her last film (aside from a bit part six years later. She provides a decent bathtub scene and upskirt, but really not much to write home about.

Nancie Wait came on the Britsploitation scene with a bang, with her performance in Au Pair Girls.  She was shamed out of school for her nudity, but it seemed worth it with a series of decent roles on TV in film.  But this movie appears to have ruined it all. Despite her going all-in as a crazy girlfriend and doing a wonderful job of it, and delivering the lion's share of the film's T&A, the movie was a huge flop. Wait never acted again (aside for a quick appearance on one TV episode).
