Butterscotch: Power Flower (1997)

There was a series of Italian erotic comics by Milo Manara which somehow found their way to late-night cable adaptations on Skinamax; then, released as individual films on DVD. The comics (fumetti) tell of a substance which turns a guy invisible and the potion smells like butterscotch.

Maurice Deville (Robert Donavan) and Ruth Rockwell (Michelle Bauer) find romance in a flower shop.

Soon after the greetings are over, the two have sex in the greenhouse.

Suddenly, the lights come on, and we see we're on a film set. Ruth has to stop the sex scene due to a misplaced plastic trowel.

Ruth unhappily hands the gardening tool to the director and they take a break. The crew adjourns and the actors get dressed.

Betty (Sheila Vale) and Judy (Janine Stillo) are two female film crew who seem to get no attention whatsoever. Working alongside beautiful actresses has them feeling neglected.

Also on the set (on location in Morocco) is Kelli Parkinson (Gabriella Hall).

Kelli prepares to have sex with her invisible boyfriend, Norman Parent (Scott Coppola).

An odd sex scene follows as Kelli makes love with her invisible partner.

Norman has come into possession of a flower with magical properties - it can summon a genie. The Genie can assume both male and female form (Kira Reed Lorsch).

The genie gives Norman a wizard outfit which has special powers.

Norman goes to a casbah wearing the wizard costume. There he meets Becky Lovey (Holly Hollywood).

Becky isn't buying Norman's story and asks if she can try on the wizard hat and see if it works.

Ruth is also at the casbah. Thanks to the wizard costume she is suddently compelled to take off her blouse and become wildly horny.

Ruth and another guy approach Becky and want to have sex. Soon the entire room is under the spell. Becky runs from the room.

Becky escapes to the elevator where she succumbs to the spell herself. She has sex with a guy on the elevator.

Back on the movie set, the genie in male form (Craig Peck) offers to grant a wish to Betty (Sheila Vale). You'll recall that Betty is a plain Jane nerd who everyone on the set seems to ignore and take for granted.

Betty wishes she was more attractive.

The genie makes her boobs bigger and enhances butt, and so on. Betty can't believe her eyes.

Betty doesn't even need her glasses anymore. She takes off her top to see if they're real.

Betty checks herself out in the mirror. She wants to make good use of her newfound looks while they last.

A crewmember enters the tent and catches her admiring herself. They end up having sex.

Judy (Janine Stillo) is Betty's bookworm friend; another crewmember who gets ignored by all the guys. She's put under the flower's spell and driven into uncontrollable ecstacy. The genie's "gift" of constant orgasm causes her to embarass herself as she falls to the ground and strips off her clothing.

Kelli desperately is trying to summon the genie by rubbing herself. But it isn't working.

Kelli takes off her top to see if the rubbing will summon the genie now.

Judy, still molesting herself and dealing with the constant lustful fever enters the room and finds Kelli also fondling herself in an attempt to summon the genie.

Judy tells Kelli she's had over thirty orgasms in a row. She can't live like this.

Kelli thinks she can help Judy - if she can just get that genie here.

Judy tries to see if it will work if she does the rubbing.

As you'd expect, it causes Judy to have yet another orgasm.

The genie does arrive, but instead of helping he makes things worse. Kelli is transformed into a guy. This makes Judy go off the deep end. She tears off all her clothes and humps him like mad.

The entire time Judy is moaning and howling like a madwoman. She's even farting (!)

Kelli is back to being a female. She demands that the genie undo his wish upon Judy.

Poor Judy is on the floor farting and having orgasms. Finally, the spell is lifted and things return to normal.

VZ6 SCORECARD

The idea for this series is brilliant - and it features a ton of beautiful and well-known ladies of late-night cable.  Unfortunately, it's assembled so badly that it just falls flat.  The editing and just the way each scene is filmed and put together feels disjointed and often confusing.  I feel like there may be other versions out that perhaps are more competently edited to create a coherent story.  That being said, poor execution aside, this is still a must-see for fans of the golden era of late night cable.

You gotta give it up for Janine Stillo.  She really puts herself out there for this one.  She farts, moans and acts like a howling maniac all while completely nude - for a really long time. An incredibly sexy (and oddly gross) comedic performance.  Well done.
