Bare Exposure (1993)

These bikini movies really stick to template. It begins with money trouble, but the problem is solved with elbow grease and bikinis. Examples of businesses failing which are saved by the power of bikinis: a floundering airline (Bikini Airways), a failing country club (Golfballs!), a drive-in theater (Bikini Drive-In) a vegetarian restaurant (Bikini Bistro). In this case, they don't fix up a drive-in or carwash, but rather an old building where they hold a wet t-shirt contest.

Brittany (Tammy Parks) is having sex.

Her prudish roommate Rachel (Stephanie Carlisle) walks in and is horrified.

Brittany puts on her top and her lover runs out of the room.

She asks Rachel how she's supposed to keep a boyfriend if Rachel keeps interrupting whenever she's having sex.

Rachel says she's had enough and throws her books down. She's moving out.

Megan (Ashlie Rhey) is a straight A student, and is always studying.

Her boyfriend convinces her to take a break and have sex.

Clancy (Westley Scott) is in big trouble with the mob. His foolproof calculations to win at five card stud have landed him in debt with a mobster named Victor. Clancy turns to super-cool surfer Tom (Jack Slater) for help.

Megan returns home and finds Brittany sad on the couch.

Brittany delivers the bad news that Rachel has moved out.

They realize they need another roommate ASAP.

They interview a bunch of weirdos, but finally find Heather (Andrea Suzzane) as the perfect roommate.

Rachel squeals to Megan's rich father of the hedonism going on at the house.

The girls are confronted by Clancy and Tom about the debt to the mob.

The three roommates agree to help out by restoring an old building and selling tickets to a wet t-shirt contest.

Megan gets on a ladder and starts painting.

Clancy enjoys the view from below.

Brittany and Heather explore the interior and find it to be a total mess. Brittany finds a boom box on the stage and starts dancing.

Heather says, "Quit fooling around. We have work to do." Brittany says, "Work, work, work. I just wanna have fun."

Later, Brittany goes to the beach to distribute fliers for their grand opening.

After, she has sex with Tom.

Little do they realize, they're being watched. Calvin (Kyle Anderson) is hired by Hollingsworth, Megan's dad, to spy on them. Rachel, the traitor, is working with him.

Calvin and Rachel snoop around the girls' place while they're rennovating the building. They find the flyers for the wet t-shirt contest.

Tom has worked hard all day. He falls asleep and Megan saddles up next to him, taking her top off. But it turns out to just be a dream.

Calvin makes his move on Heather. But it's all a part of his conniving plan working for Megan's father.

His plan works. Heather's dress is pulled down and they start making love.

While Calvin is in the bathroom, Heather finds a check for a thousand dollars from Megan's father. Calvin says, "That was before I met you."

The next day they find the building is being shut down by the police. Calvin shows up and says he's on their side now, and they shouldn't give up.

So, they get back to work. Brittany once again flirts with Tom.

Megan walks in on them. She has a secret crush on Tom, and it seems he may feel the same way about her.

The night of the grand opening Brittany apologizes to Megan before she goes on stage for the wet t-shirt contest.

The crowd goes wild for Brittany.

Brittany wins first place, and the event is a big success.

Megan's father actually is in attendance and confronts her backstage.

Tom and Megan celebrate their success. THE END

VZ6 SCORECARD

Tammy Parks takes her clothes off every five minutes, so it's got that going for it. Otherwise, this is a pretty boring paint-by-numbers bikini movie. Despite a healthy amount of T&A, they seem to have phoned this one in.

Everyone knows Ashlie Rhey and Tammy Parks, but I wasn't familiar with Andrea Suzzane - and I guess it's for good reason. This was her only acting credit.  Suzzane provides a mighty good sex scene; but then went off into anonymity.

☆☆☆☆☆ 5/10
